Moving to Austin

Well, we are moving to Austin this summer. Troy will be working at a classical Christian School in Austin called Veritas Academy. This first year his official job is as a part-time teacher and a part-time vice principal. The school has communicated that the long term goal is that he would grow into a leadership position in the high school, but that is a few years away.

In the mean time, we need to sell our home, pack our stuff, find a new home in Austin, and move. Looks to be a busy couple of months in the Schuknecht household!

We are incredibly sad to be leaving our friends, our church, and the seminary. We love it here in Louisville. That said, Troy will be able to continue his seminary coursework long distance and this job is something he would really like to do long term. Also, it helps that Troy's entire family lives in Austin. In any case, there are definitely mixed emotions about the move.

I have to say for selfish reasons I am really glad that God is moving you back to Austin. I love you guys, and can't wait until we get to hang out more often!
