First Bath

Finally! Our little guy's cord finally came off, so he had his first bath on Tuesday night (2/12). He desperately needed one! Somehow, no matter how many times you wipe a baby down with a sponge, it can't completely eradicate the smell of spit up that lingers in those cute little folds in his neck! And, the folds in his neck seem to be multiplying lately. He is getting fatter every day, and now some of his pants are too tight to leave them buttoned! I can't believe how much he eats. It's amazing to see clothes that fit one week ago look like they might rip when I try to put them on him! He has at least three extra chins, and he seems to be very proud of them. He seems to eat more time than not...I hope his binge-eating habits aren't permanent! I don't know if I can keep up with him!

My mom has been here since the 5th...thank goodness! It's been wonderful to have someone here with me during the day. We are sad that she is leaving on Tuesday. It's been fun to have help when we go places, and really nice to have someone to talk with during the LONG hours that Jude is eating! We will miss her!

Yup! That's the book! I am enjoying reading too, though sometimes it seems hard to do with one hand. Levi seems to gag/choke a lot while nursing, so I'm always having to prop him upright all of a sudden so he can catch his breath. The book then goes flying. Jude is a very handsome boy, by the way!

He's a sweet little guy. How nice to have him squeeky clean and smelling nice, until the next series of spit-ups anyway :). Thanks for the new pictures.

Every two hours! Jeepers! I put Levi on a 3 hour schedule at the hospital. I think the docs say anywhere from 2.5 to 3 hours. I guess it depends on whether or not you are going to schedule or demand feed. The bonus of scheduling is they seem to sleep better at night. Levi's going 9 hours now (starting at 6 weeks) But, you have to allow for growth spurts when you have them on a schedule.

Thanks for the announcement - Jude is such a cutie and you guys are looking great too. PJ is sure that Jude is trying to show off his armpit hair...remembering how proud you were of yours, Troy. :)

more folds in the neck mean... more stinky neck! that's what we call it, anyway. both of our kids have spit up a lot and then acquired "stinky neck" in the folds. :)
